Recent Vintage Finds – Video

September 5, 2013

So I finally managed to do another video! It was a little rushed as I snuck off for ten minutes while Lila was having her lunch. So it’s not as good as I’d like it to be, but my mum likes it and that’s the most important thing!

I’ve bought so much new vintage lately that I couldn’t include it all in one video, so I’ll try to do another one next week.

I’m going to try to do some different videos over the next few weeks, including some vintage styling tips, and some vintage shopping advice. If there’s anything you’d like me to do please comment below.

Did you like my vintage buys, have you found any vintage bargains recently?

Love your video! And so nice to hear you! 🙂 You’ve got some great vintage buys there. I was trying to see the label inside your fabulous blue prom dress but couldn’t make it out. I love to find vintage with the original label. Do tell!

I will do another post on the dress, going into a bit more detail.
The label says Sally Slade of Regent Street. I looked it up on The Vintage Fashion Guild label resource without any luck.
So will need to do a bit more research!
I’ve seen a few things by her online all 40s and 50s but nothing later and so far that’s all I have to work on!

First of all I just have to say what an absolutely lovely speaking voice you have, honey! It was awesome to put a voice to a face here, and I absolutely loved seeing your amazing new treasures. Those handbags are fabulous, and the wee note tucked inside one really does inject a poignant sense of the piece’s history, I totally agree.

Thank you sweetie! The handbags are lovely, I can’t wait to use them. It’s amazing how often I find cool stuff hidden away. I’ve found a few things tucked into vintage magazines and in pieces of furniture too.
