I’m a little in love with Lindy Bop. Their pretty affordable dresses are ideal for me and I love the huge range of styles and patterns perfect for every occasion. I have quite a few of their dresses in my wardrobe and this one the Belina has been sitting unworn for quite a while now. I bought it when they were having a flash sale knowing it would be perfect for a special occasion.
On Sunday I went to a christening and having not had a second to plan an outfit, I had a look through my dresses and this one jumped out at me. It’s perfect for this time of year when it’s still a little chilly, but Spring is definitely here. It being quite a dark colour it was fine to wear with tights and a cardigan. I loved wearing the dress so much that when we got home I got Rob to take a few pictures so I could write a review.
The dress is made with a lovely thick cotton. The weight of the fabric makes it hang really beautifully and makes the full skirt naturally flare. I love the colours and the pretty floral print is adorable. The bow details make an otherwise quite simple dress look really pretty and girlie. The pink belt I’m wearing actually came with the dress and I love the way it dresses the outfit up, although it can also be worn without.
I’m always blown away with the quality of my Lindy Bop dresses, the prices are absolutely amazing for what you get. I also love the huge amount of choice on the website, there seems to be something beautiful in every colour imaginable. I’m also impressed with some of the newer styles which look more authentically vintage than their earlier designs. There are quite a few of the new releases that I have my eye on at the moment.
Delivery from Lindy Bop is also always really quick, if you order by noon they usually send the dress out the same day. I’m also impressed that delivery is from £1.95, which is definitely cheaper than most other mail order sites.

April 22, 2015 at 3:09 amGreat review, dear Catherine. This dress looks gorgeous on you! Lindy Bop’s offerings are so fabulous!!! I picked my first four dresses from them as my main Christmas present from Tony last year and love all of them to bits. I hope to add some more to my closet before the year is out (and/or beyond that in the future).

April 22, 2015 at 7:05 amI’m a HUGE Lindy Bop fan! Great styles, colours & ultimately great prices! – a big deal for me with a 7 month old, as my more expensive dresses tend to end up staying in the wardrobe for a non-baby occasion where they won’t get puked/dribbled/skittered on!! I was particularly over the moon with a Lana dress I ordered recently – just so gorgeous in fit & design. However I also ordered another 2 Audrey dresses at the same time (I already had 1 I loved so much!) and whilst 1 of the new ones fitted like a glove, the other was waaaaay too tight! So I now have 2 size 14s & have had to return the 3rd for a 16 – seems strange as they’re all the same cut & design, & very frustrating having to pay for postage to return a dress that should fit! Otherwise, big big BIG love for this fabby & affordable brand!

April 22, 2015 at 7:23 amLana is my favourite Lindy Bop dress so far. I love the slight stretchiness. I want all the colours now!
I know exactly what you mean about them being perfect for mums. Xxx

April 22, 2015 at 7:16 amPS just wanted to say I’m new to your blog & really enjoying it! Love your approach & the fact the things you review are readily accessible to me if I want to track them down! I’ve been desperately trying to find the perfect red lippy that can be worn daytime for work etc without looking ‘too much’. Am thinking perhaps something with a slight orangey hint might work. I now have stacks of red lipsticks & have spent a bomb on them but, in the words of Bono, I still haven’t found what I’m looking for! I’ve not read right back through your blog yet & perhaps you’ve done something on this already but do you have any recommendations?

April 22, 2015 at 7:21 amOne of my favourite everyday red lipsticks is a Revlon Lip Butter. Can’t remember the shade name, I’ll have to have a look. But it’s just red enough without being over the top!
Must do a red lipstick blog post soon!

April 24, 2015 at 10:07 amFantastic! Thanks so much. If you wouldn’t mind checking the name of the lipstick that’d be brilliant. I’m just about to go back to work after maternity & feeling like I need some extra ‘Pow!’ in my make up bag to bolster my confidence but without going over the top! Thanks again. Loving your blog!

April 24, 2015 at 10:45 amIt’s a Revlon Lip Butter in the shade 035 candy apple. It’s a really nice moisturising formula and red enough to be noticed but not so bright that it looks too much. Let me know what you think.
Good luck going back to work! Xxx
