I can’t believe we’ve already made it to the end of January! The year so far has absolutely flown by. I’ve had a pretty chilled month really, a mixture of mum stuff, work and seeing friends to do bloggy things. Clothes wise I’ve had a pretty casual month and just been wearing comfy favourites from my wardrobe. Since putting myself on a shopping ban back in November, I’ve been making an effort to wear everything in my wardrobe and enjoy what I have. I love sharing lovely outfit posts that I put lots of effort into creating, but todays post is full of things I just happened to be wearing when a friend or Rob was nearby to catch a snap for me!
First up is a super casual outfit and the type of thing I wear when I’m not wearing dresses. I love band t-shirts, jeans and vintage cardigans for days out with the kids and trips to the park. Fay snapped this pic on a lovely day at Morden Hall Park with our kids. I really love this photo spot, so expect to see it a lot! Also my favourite vintage yellow cardigan has had a lot of wear this month too. No point in having a favourite piece of clothing if you don’t wear it every day!
Same spot, same cardi, different day! This outfit is full of old favourites from my wardrobe. I call this one 70s librarian chic!
I’ve been wearing my Doc Martin boots loads this month. Once they’re worn in they’re great for keeping warm and walking about loads. Wearing them with THAT yellow cardigan and an old leopard print dress for an early trip to Columbia Road with Fay.
One of the only new things I bought at the end of last year were two dresses from H&M’s William Morris collaboration. I’m still completely in love with this fabulous dress, with its beautiful sleeves. So 70s inspired and fabulous!
I wore this Cath Kidston skirt and Collectif top for a trip to Nandos and a quick stop for pics with Rob. I love having lots of tops and skirts which mix and match well together. I might try this top under some of my dresses soon too.
Lila grabbed this snap on a trip to the farm. I was really cosy in this awesome jumper from Joanie clothing, which Rob got me for my birthday. I’m wearing it with an old skirt which is also from Joanie, along with my trusty DMs again!
Another outing in the park with Fay and the kids, I’m wearing an old dress and top from Sainsburys with a coat I got in Primark recently for just £10. I’ve been wearing it so much, it’s warm, practical and YELLOW!!!!
This month I’ve been putting blouses under my dresses quite a lot. It’s a great way of making warmer weather dresses wearable in the winter, without just throwing a cardigan on top. This dress from Cath Kidston is one of my favourites, not just because of the gorgeous print, but because my lovely mum got it for me for my birthday last year.
Probably my favourite outfit from the whole month was this one. The dress is one of my favourite vintage ones, which I wear all the time. I paired it with my denim jacket and favourite shoes and Rob snapped this picture while were out for a little wander.
I hardly ever wear my hair up, but I used a scrunchie to tie it back with this 90s skirt and denim jacket combo. I wore this for a trip to a market and lunch with Rob and Lila.
Fay and I popped to Covent Garden early on a Sunday morning to take some pics. This tunnel made the perfect spot for some outfit photos! I’m wearing dress from Simply Be with my trusty yellow cardigan and DMs.
Same outfit, same day. I love London first thing in the morning when it’s completely deserted. The perfect time to take pictures!
I wore this outfit for a blog event, which I took Rob to with me. My dress and bag are Primark from last summer, my boots are Hotter and my coat is a vintage car boot sale find, which only cost £1. Woohoo for bargains!
Same blouse again, this time with a lovely dress from Dolly and Dotty. I wore this for a bloggy day with Vix.
Lastly I wore my lovely Cath Kidston Pets Party dress to see some blogger friends for coffee. And yes there’s that yellow cardigan again!
I haven’t actually worn that much vintage this month, despite wearing it almost every day in December. But I’ve been trying to wear lots of things from my wardrobe that I’ve had for ages. And mostly just been enjoying my fabulous yellow cardigan!
Keep to date with what I’m doing wearing and enjoying over on my Instagram, where I always post a couple of times a day. Check out the fashion section of the blog for more outfits and inspiration.
