Poundland Pastel Baking Haul

May 3, 2015

Have you ever gone into Poundland and got a bit carried away by how cheap everything is? Before you know it you have a basket full of goodies and you only came in for one thing. Well that’s happened to me on more than one occasion! This year I’ve been really good with my spending and I’d not actually been to Poundland for ages. Then Rob told me they had loads of baking stuff in, he even showed me pictures! I knew this was going to be a big haul before I’d even made it into the shop.

I bake a lot, at least 4 times a week usually. Some of the vintage recipes I share on the blog take quite a few attempts to get perfect before I share them. I get through baking equipment really quickly and am always on the look out for new baking stuff to try. I also love to get pretty things so I can include them in my photos. Poundland’s Jane Asher baking range is so pretty and I can’t resist pastel shades which go really well with my kitchen.

In the end I left with as much as I could carry, and when I laid it out at home I was a little shocked by how much I’d got…

Poundland Baking Haul

I’m really pleased with everything I picked up, and I’m definitely going to use it all a lot. I’m going to throw out a lot of my old utensils that are worn out now and put these pretty pastel ones in their place.

Poundland Pastel Pots

These mini ceramic cooking pots are just adorable and I thought they’d be nice for making mini meals for the kids. How sweet would a little cottage pie look in these. From a baking point of view, these would be perfect for making individual baked puddings in.

Poundland Ceramic Bakeware

I got these larger dishes as well, these are perfect for all different things and I have a few traditional recipes that I’d like to try in these.

Poundland Jane Asher Baking Tools

These bits are all really useful, I really needed a cake slice as I didn’t actually have one so that will get used loads. The ice cream scoop is for measuring cake mix into tins. The other bits can replace my old ones which are now a little worse for wear.

Poundland Cake Pop Moulds

I’ve never made cake pops before, they’re not really my thing. However Lila has a birthday party coming up and I though the little ones would love some cake pops, so I got all the things I needed in Poundland. I’ll let you know how I get on.

More handy things – I really liked these food containers which are great for storing opened packets of flour and sugar. They also come with measuring spoons. I also got a roll of baking paper and flour shaker.

Poundland Baking Supplies

I always need piping bags and cake circles and I’m going to make some muffins with the pretty little cake cases.

Poundland Sprinkles

Lila really wanted the Frozen cake mix set, which we’re going to have loads of fun making together. They also had a huge range of cake decorations and I got a couple of pots of sprinkles. The red blue and white ones will be perfect for make VE Day celebration cakes.

I’m so happy with everything I got and I can’t wait to use it all!

The Jane Asher range is so pretty! I went into my Poundland about a month ago and stocked up on oven dishes and couldn’t resist a couple of tiny casserole dishes 🙂

I love Poundland. Their range has improved so much in the past couple of years, I absolutely adore their home ware I haven’t seen these bits and pieces though, I’ll be on a lookout when I’m next in, I’m a huge sucker for pastel coloured things..
