I love events that are tailored just for bloggers, it’s a great chance to meet other people in out industry and to meet and work with people who appreciate blogging. One of my favourite events is Bloggers London Fashion Week, an event organised by The Bloggers Hangout. The event features fashion shows, brand showcases, a gifting lounge and lots of other bloggy people to make friends with. This is the second time I’ve attended the event and this time it was held at the gorgeous OXO2 at the bottom of the OXO tower, the perfect light airy space to take lots of pictures!
I only went to the early session as I had another event that evening, but the event runs twice in one day with different fashion shows and different brands. I ended up taking so much away with me that I don’t think I could have carried any more. I did meet a sensible blogger who had taken a wheely case to hold all her samples in, which I think s a great tip for next time.
The gorgeous DJ Fabienne played music throughout the day.
The Fashion Shows:
First up was the gorgeous collection from Julia Hearts U, who creates beautiful flowing Kaftans.
The lovely Julia with her models. I loved the purple kaftan best, I would love to throw it over a casual outfit for some instant glam.
The second show featured loads of gorgeous dresses, I’m not entirely sure who the designer was (sorry).
The Gifting Lounge:
There were lots of lovely brands at the event to talk about their products and give away samples for us to try. These are a few of my favourites…
Kleem Organics were showcasing their amazing vitamin C serum, which is currently only available in America but launching in the UK in a few months. The product has a really high vit C content. I’ve been using mine under my moisturiser for a while now and I absolutely love it.
I’m already a bit obsessed with my Magnitone cleansing brush. I’ve been using one for a few months now and I absolutely love what it does to my skin. I wrote a review a few months ago. I love the new colours which they recently launched.
Maison Ves are the perfect candle for bloggers and social media people. Each one is beautifully scented and comes with a different theme. Each theme is associated with different hashtags which are printed on the candle holder. I love the #BFF one! The wedding themed one would be perfect for centerpieces at weddings too.
Little Ondine make a selection of natural peel off nail polished in a great selection of colours. It’s nice to see something a little bit different to other nail brands.
Being a big lingerie fan I loved the selection on display from With Love Lilly, who make made to measure lingerie including larger sizes. The materials are amazing and a an F cup I was pleased to know I could get something in my size.
Motel Rocks had a great selection of seventies inspired fashions, I love all the bright retro prints.
Berrywhite drinks are a great alternative to regular fizzy drinks. I’m always trying to make healthy choices and I was impressed with all the different flavours.
There were so many great brands there that I haven’t included everyone. I’ll be reviewing a few of the lovely products I picked up in the coming months, so watch out for those.
The yummy cupcakes were provided by Miss Cupcakes.
I just wanted to finish by saying thank you to all the lovely people who worked hard to organise the event, it’s always so much fun. As well as Fay who came along too and as always was great company!
