Recent Vintage Jewellery Finds

March 8, 2016

It’s been a while since I did a vintage haul on here! I haven’t bought that many new clothes recently as I’m trying to save a bit of money. But I have been buying little accessories here and there. I can never resist a piece of pretty vintage jewellery. Over the last few months I’ve been trying to pick up pieces that go with some of the dresses in my wardrobe. I have loads of vintage themed events and festivals coming up this summer and I’ve already started planning all my outfits and most of my newly acquired jewellery is to go with them.

Vintage Jewellery Greens
Green is my absolute favourite colour and I’ve always had quite a lot of green clothing in my collection, however I hardly had any jewellery to wear with it. So when I saw these art deco era glass bead necklaces on eBay as a bundle, I just had to have them. They were an absolute bargain at around £12 for the three and they are simply beautiful. I’ve already got quite a lot of wear out of these and I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of them in my future outfit posts. See how I styled the black and green one here.

Vintage Fruit Necklace
I also got this gorgeous fruit necklace on Ooh La La on Facebook. At the moment they are attached to a later gold chain which I’m going to replace with a better one, as soon as I find one suitable. I have such a weakness for fruit jewellery and this one just had to be mine! It has so many different colours, I’ll have no trouble pairing this up with outfits.

Vintage Lucite Necklace
The necklace with the yellow roses is absolutely huge and just makes me smile. I picked it up in a lovely vintage shop called Madame Mim in Bruges earlier this year. It was about 6 Euros and I couldn’t resist it!

Reverse Carved Lucite
The other one is an original vintage reverse carved lucite necklace. We have a little love story all of our own. It started when a year earlier a week before my 29th birthday. My mum had taken me to my favourite antiques centre to pick out something vintage for my present. I spotted this gorgeous necklace, but I’d already picked out a dress, so I left it there vowing to one day come back for it. I visited the shop several other times throughout the year without taking it home.

A year later on my 30th birthday I went shopping with Rob and was so pleased to see it still there, so I finally took it home. I absolutely adore it and have no idea why I waited so long to make it mine! It was also a steal at just £20. It needs a little clean as some dirt has got into the carving. I’m going to freshen it up as soon I’m feeling brave enough.

Vintage Floral Earrings
Last weekend I visited a local antique fair for mothers day and picked up a lovely selection of vintage jewellery. The big chunky necklace is an original 50s piece with glass and wooden beads. I had absolutely nothing orange in my collection so I’d been looking out for something like this for a while. The necklace was £10.

Vintage Plastic Clip on Earrings
I got these pretty plastic flower clip on earrings to go with the necklace and luckily they nice and light, so I’m going to get a lot of wear out of them. They will also look amazing with some of my autumn accessories. These cost just £3.

Vintage Flower Clip On Earrings
These dangly floral earrings are so cute, I love the little plastic flowers. As I don’t have my ears pierced anymore, I love find dangly clip-ons. These will be perfect with summer dresses (I can’t wait to start wearing summer dresses again!) these also need a clean, especially when you see them up this close! These cost me £4.

Vintage Red fruit Jewellery
I picked up the chunky red beads for £1 at a charity shop last week and the big red brooch is by Luxulite.

Vintage Novelty Fruit Earrings
I love a bit of novelty jewellery, especially when it features fruit. The smaller ones and the big fruit bowl ones were bought from Ooh La La on Facebook and the red ones were already mine from a church jumble sale, but I had to include them as I see them as a little setVintage Glass Fruit Earrings
How amazing are these huge glass fruit earrings from the 50s. Unfortunately they are a bit to heavy to wear. But I’m just going to keep them on display and admire them constantly. Maybe they’ll make their way into some outfit pics too.

Vintage Petit Point Bracelet
My last purchase, also from the antiques fair this weekend was this lovely petit point bracelet, it is so delicately and beautifully made. I just love it. this was such a bargain at £5.

Vintage Petit Point Bracelet and Brooch
When I arrived home, I realised I had a brooch to match, so I’ll definitely be wearing them together. Look at those tiny stitches!

Vintage Jewellery Collection
I hope you enjoyed looking at my finds, all of which were total bargains. It just goes to show if you keep looking you can find some really gorgeous pieces. Vintage jewellery really does complete every outfit and in my opinion you can never have too much of it!
