It all started with a pair of cute dinosaur plant pots from Morrisons. I picked them up a few weeks ago and loved how well they went with my green and metallic living room theme. The plants in them weren’t great, so I’ve switched them for some new ones. I’ve always loved dinosaurs so could feel a bit of a theme coming on. Cue creating my own gold dinosaur ornaments.
Forward to a few weeks later and I wanted to have a little fun and create something else to sit amongst my house plants. So I popped into Wilko and grabbed 3 new dinosaur friends and a can of gold spray paint. I love easy craft projects that just take a few minutes and create something cool for my house. This one definitely fits the bill.
To make these cute gold dinosaur ornaments, all I needed was a few plastic dinosaur toys, a can of gold spray paint and something protective to put underneath them while they got their make-over!
I popped into the garden and gave them a couple of coats and that’s it – good to go!
At the moment I have them displayed on my dresser and I just love how well they go with everything, and showing off my geeky dinosaur loving streak as well. Although I’ve made gold dinosaur ornaments, you could literally do this with any fun plastic toy. I still have lots of gold spray paint left, so I’m definitely on the lookout for more fun projects to use up the rest.
I hope you like this speedy craft project and might want to give something similar a go. Look out for more quick and easy home crafts coming soon. I’m feeling very creative at the moment and have a long list of ideas that I’m planning to make every soon.
