Today it’s a year since I started this blog, and what a fantastic year it’s been. Not only have I loved writing it, but I’ve also had the chance to read so many other fantstic blogs and make lot’s of new friends. I’ve learned so much I didn’t know about vintage fashion and been inspired by peoples amazing outfits and fabulous homes.
Looking forward to another year of blogging I have loads of great ideas and unfinished projects to work on, new blogs to dicover and new friends to make.
I’d like to thanks my readers for every lovely comment, repin, like, tweet, share and follow that I’ve had over the last year. On day where I’ve lacked inspiration it’s kept me writing!
Looking back over the last year I’d like to share some of my favourite posts with you…
VintageInspiration – My Great Grandmother – I like to look back on this post a lot, a it has so much family history and pictures of my amazing Great Grandmother. She worked on the stage during the 1910’s and went on to run a shop selling antique clothing, she was the origin al vintage seller in my family! We are so lucky to have a huge numer of photos of her and I recently got a few more, so I’ll try and scan them and do another post on her soon.
Book Review – Granny Chic – As I blog about both vintage and books I get sent lots of great books to review. One of my absolute favourites was Granny Chic, the book is just so beautiful and full of fabulous ideas. I love floral prints, and unique homes filled with lovely found treasures and this book is one I always seem to come back to when I’m looking for ideas.
Car Boot Sale Finds – I love shopping at car boot sales and sometimes you just have a great day, finding little treasures for next to nothing. I love looking back at my finds some of which I have now passed to new home or up-cycled.
What to Wear Under our Vintage Dress – This has been one of my most popular posts on the blog. As used to work in lingerie, what is worn underneath is just as important to me as what is worn on top! In the past women wore much more structured lingerie, so if your wearing vintage clothes the foundation garments you wear underneath are very important to get the right shape and fit.
Vintage Frills Beauty – No7 Deco Darling Make-up – One of my favourite products that I was sent to review was the fabulous Deco Darling range from No7. This 1920s Gatsby inspired make up rage is now one of my favourites for nights out. I really enjoyed writing this post ad although i had yet to perfect the art of smokey eyes I had lot’s of fun trying!
There are many more posts I’ve enjoyed writing this year, and I can’t wait to carry on for many years to come. I have loads of plans to make the blog better and even prettier but I’d love to know what you’d lke to see more of. If you could take a minute to do the poll below it would be very much appreciated. xxx
