This post is part of a paid partnership with Hotter Shoes. When I’m picking out shoes my number one priority is comfort. I walk a lot and have always been quite prone to problems with my feet, so finding something that looks great, supports my feet properly and actually looks good with all my clothes can be a bit of a challenge. My go-to for a few years now have been Hotter Shoes, they’re designed with comfort in mind, but have lots of pretty styles. I have quite a few of their sandals already, which I wear most days in the summer.
When they asked if I’d like to collaborate on a post, I couldn’t wait to try a pair of their wedges. In the end I opted for a classic brown pair, with the idea that they would go with almost everything. So I put this theory to the test and put together 5 outfits for different occasions, each featuring my new wedges.
Outfit One: Everyday Summer
For hot days, going out with the kids to the park, or chilling the garden I chose a pair of linen shorts and a stretchy vest top to wear with the wedges. I added an Alice band to keep my hair out my face and a couple of vintage bangles to finish off the look.
Outfit Two: A Day Out
This vintage dress is a new addition to my wardrobe and I’ve been wearing it absolutely loads. I’d wear this outfit with the wedges for fun days out with my family or to see my friends. I love outfits that are comfortable and practical, but also really fun. I was so happy with how well the shoes went with one of my favourite vintage handbags.
Outfit Three: Wedding Guest
It was great to see how well the wedges went with a more dressy outfit. I’ve had this Laura Ashley dress for a few years and love wearing it for special accassions. A wedding a great time to wear an over-sized headpiece and I finished off the look with an antique handbag and of course my trusty wedges. Weddings can be really long days, so these shoes are perfect for wearing all day and dancing the night away!
Outfit Four: Night Out
Nights out are another time I like to wear something comfortable, but also feel a bit dressed up and glam. My William Morris print dress is a great option as it’s very loose fitting, perfect for meals out and eating all the food! I added some long vintage bead necklaces, a simple vintage clutch bag and my Hotter wedges. I absolutely love this outfit and cannot wait for a long awaited night with friends later in the year.
Outfit Five: Casual Daytime
For casual days at home, where I’m working, gardening or cleaning I’ll often wear a pair of jeans with a cute vintage top or blouse. I absolutely love how well the wedges went with a pair of jeans and this is a look I’ll definitely be putting togther more often, especially when the kids go back to school and I’ll be running around running errands and doing school runs more.
What do you think of my outfits? What else do you think the shoes would go well with? I’m really looking forward to experimenting more over the summer and will be sharing more looks over on my Instagram.
I chose a size 6, in these which is my usual size. The fit was perfect and the slightly wider fit was ideal for me. They were super comfortable straight away and didn’t need any wearing in. The cushioned insoles keep my feet happy throughout the day and the straps felt really supportive. The wedge is reasonably low, adding just a little height without being uncomfortable. I was so happy with these and so were my feet! The wedges are also available in a gorgeous blush pink and rose gold.
I have always been impressed with how long Hotter Shoes last. They are a great investment. I have been wearing some of my favourites for 3 years now, with no sign of them wearing out. I’m a very strong believer in doing our best to combat fast fashion and buying to last is a great way to do this. Investing in items that are classic enough and good enough quality to see you through year after year is an absolute priority when it comes to reducing your fashion footprint.

Thank you to Hotter Shoes for working with me again, I always love putting fun outfits together with shoes! All opinions as always are my own.
