I’m on the hunt for some cute vintage enamel items for the dresser that we recently upcycled. I used to work for Cath Kidston about 8 years ago and I fell in love with all the reclaimed vintage items that were sold in her shops. Ever since I’ve had an eye for enamel kitchen ware and cute cake stands. With vintage more popular than ever there are so many vintage style and reproduction goodies out there, but I do love the real thing as well. It’s amazing to think that our fore-mothers used them every day and every piece has its own story, it’s all the little dents and chips that give things their character.
Here’s some of the vintage lovelies I found on the internet…
Vintage Enamel Teapot by Magpie Living on Not on the High Street £38 available here
French vintage enamel jars from Decorative Country Living £85 for the set available here
Vintage enamel green bread bin £35 from Phoenix Antiques Barn, available here
Vintage Blue Enamel Flour Storage Container from something_old_or_something_new on Ebay here
Vintage French enamel colander £11.65 Maison Maudie on Etsy available here
Antique enamel ware pot milk pail with lid £18.12 SimonEtCie on Etsy, available here
Of course if you prefer to do your own picking like me then get those wellies on and head out to car boot sales, antiques fairs, charity shops and junk shops and find your own. It takes a lot of time and effort and some days you won’t find a thing but nothing can beat seeking out a bargain and finding that perfect one-off item!
