I love seeing gorgeous vintage influenced clothing on the high street and online. I wear a lot of real vintage clothing, but just as much high street and reproduction for every day. A few months ago I discovered Joe Browns, who make a great selection of great quality men’s and women’s clothing with gorgeous details inspired by classic fashions. When I was invited to the Joe Browns blogger event I couldn’t wait to have a closer look at all the lovely clothes. I was instantly impressed with the quality of the fabrics and the little details which really stood out to me.
The event was held at Bar Soho in Old Compton Street, the perfect venue to go alongside the funfair theme which Joe Browns has used in their marketing for AW15. We were treated to candyfloss, popcorn and kiddie sweets while sipping cocktails and playing old fashioned games such as hook a duck. It was such a fun event!
The clothing for the season is full of rich colours and textures with seventies style coats and 50s inspired dresses to tempt the vintage lover in me. The quality and finish on all the garments was fantastic and many of the items are wardrobe classics which will last for years. My favourites of course were the floral dresses as you can never have too many!
The accessories are all really quirky, I love the shoes which would add a statement to even a very simple outfit. They have a fun modern twist on original vintage styles with lots of different fabrics and finishes.
Sadly I couldn’t stay long at the event as I had to pick Jessica up from a class, so I missed the fashion show but the lovely people at Joe Browns sent over some pictures so I could see what the clothes looked like on…
So many pretty dresses! See the full range on the Joe Browns website.

I came across them a good few years back and was also taken with the vintage inspiration that was clear to see. I haven’t actually purchased any of the brand, but thanks for reminding me it exists! Always fun to go to those kind of events, something different. x
